  • Aquaculture feasibility investigation: Mer Island Torres Straits, Queensland – giant clam, trochus, beche de mer and tropical crayfish mariculture, pearl culture
  • Project Leader of the aquaculture research project “Recirculation Prawn Farming” – recirculation & bioremediation methods, economic analysis, extension to industry. Successful prawn farming trials on full recirculation at commercial level, water quality modelling and economics analysis. Achieved 40% transfer of technology to the Australian aquaculture industry
  • Project Manager of “Constructed Mangrove Wetlands for Aquaculture Effluent Treatment” study to investigate mangrove bioremediation in prawn farming, funded by Natural Heritage Trust Canberra
  • Co-ordinated the ‘Scoping Study for Indigenous Aquaculture in Queensland’, in collaboration with indigenous leaders, land council representatives and government representatives.
